Felicity is a British actress that gained notoriety for her role as Jane Hawking, the protagonist of The Theory of Everything. Jones began acting at aged 12. She has worked as an actor in numerous plays, television shows, and film. She began her career acting on television in the role of The Treasure Seekers. In the following film, The Worst Witch (a television series) she played Ethel Hallow. The sequel Weirdsisters college also featured her. In her first feature film Flashbacks of a Fool (which she played the lead role in), Young Ruth, she went on and acted in other movies. Her acting gained her fame for roles in movies like The Invisible Woman, and The Amazing Spider-Man. It was however her character in The Theory of Everything' which earned her an Oscar award for the first time. Jones received a lot of praise for her portrayal of Hawking's former wife. It was inspired by the story of Stephen Hawking. Inferno is a Tom Hanks-starring thriller. Jones was named British Artist of Year 2016 by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles in recognition of her extraordinary talent and work in cinema.
